Day 9 and 10 - Wednesday and Thursday

Wednesday at work was uneventful. After work though we went out for dinner with the team we are working with here. We had a traditional Chinese meal at East Gate restaurant; fish, frog soup, chicken feet (photo at right), duck tongue (below left), shrimp, sticky rice, dumplings, .... It was probably the most difficult meal to eat; everything was just a little to hardcore Chinese. It was still a really good time though. After dinner, a few of us stopped at JJ's Bar to have a few beers and talk.

Today two out of the six of us didn't feel well and stayed back at the hotel; I'm thinking it had something to do with the meal last night. Luckily, I felt fine. Work went pretty well (and I finished my performance review!) and we kept it pretty low key this evening. We had dinner at Big and Whistle, a local restaurant at the RainboWalk; I had a Club sandwich with french fries. Not much else tonight.

  1. Alright Matt, no more traditional Chinese dishes! I don't know if MY stomach can take it any more. :) J/K, I am glad to see you are experiencing "the culture", but there isn't anything wrong with having the occasional Papa John's or Subway. :) Have fun shopping this weekend!
